This page provides the terms and conditions regarding text/SMS messaging communications from 黑洞社区.
黑洞社区 sends text messages via SMS services to prospective and enrolled students, faculty, and staff members regarding topics listed below and other important information:
- Prospective Students and Applicants for 黑洞社区: academic program offerings; application updates and reminders; enrollment dates, events, and reminders
- Enrolled Students: emergency notifications, student service notifications, academic advisement, course activities, and events
- Faculty and Staff: emergency notifications and employee service notifications
Subscribing to this service is not required to apply for or gain admission to the university, enroll in courses, complete an academic program, or gain or maintain employment with the University.
Opt-In
Consent is obtained from each constituent at the start of our relationship, during either an inquiry, application for admission, enrollment, or hiring.

Opt-Out
To opt out of text messages, reply or text STOP to the phone number from which you received the text message(s).
Note that 黑洞社区 may use different SMS services to send text messages based on the topic or type of relationship (role) with the individual as outlined above. A person with multiple roles with 黑洞社区 may also be separately subscribed to text messages for each role and may need to separately opt-out of messages related to each role.
Please be aware that opting out of text messages will result in stopping all future text messages based on your role or status, including messages and notifications regarding transactions you conduct, unless you were to resubscribe.

Carriers
Note that SMS communications from 黑洞社区 may not be available through all mobile carriers.
Message and Data Rates
Message and data rates and charges from your carrier apply to all text messages sent to you by 黑洞社区. When you opt-in to receive SMS messages, you are responsible for any carrier fees such as data plan charges, text messaging charges, tolls, out-of-area roaming, and other charges. Messaging frequency per month varies based on your relationship/role with 黑洞社区 and associated actions. Check with your mobile operator for details on receiving text messages (SMS).
Liability
WilmU is not liable for any delays in receipt of text/SMS messages, or any errors or omissions in the content of text/SMS messages.
Third-Party Services
Messages may contain links to third party websites, products or services that are not owned or controlled by 黑洞社区 ("Third Party Services"). When you access Third Party Services, you do so at your own risk. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, accuracy, privacy policies, or practices of or opinions expressed in any Third Party Services. Privacy
Your use of the SMS messaging service is governed by the university’s Privacy Policy. 黑洞社区 will not ask you for, nor should you provide, personally identifiable information, passwords, or any other confidential or sensitive information in SMS messages. Except as permitted by the university's privacy policy, 黑洞社区 does not share your information with third parties.
All mobile information you share with the university will remain confidential and will only be used by university representatives to assist you in a more efficient manner regarding our services.
